From Brooklyn
to Virginia, with love
I'm a Brooklyn girl who has called Virginia home for the last 10 years. After serving in the United States Army, I retired and made a decision that changed everything — I enrolled in culinary school. I wanted to understand the craft behind cooking. The techniques, the love, the intention that turns ingredients into something meaningful.
Four years ago, navigating my mental health journey and looking for a companion, I brought home a dog. I named her Nymeria — which means Princess Warrior. She became exactly that for me.
"I found myself cooking for Nymeria every single day — even on days I didn't cook for myself. And she has been living her absolute best, healthiest life."
I looked at the shelves full of dry kibble — ultra-processed, packed with fillers — and I thought: I want to be the healthiest version of myself. Why wouldn't I want that for her too? So I researched everything dogs need, everything they shouldn't have, and I started cooking for her the same way I cook for the people I love.
Word spread. Friends asked if I'd cook for their dogs. And here we are. Every batch is handmade. Every ingredient is one I personally shop for. No processed anything — just real food, made with real care and real love.
